FAQ's about the Kentucky Challenge

What is the Kentucky Challenge?

The Kentucky Challenge is a collaborative effort between six of Kentucky's state universities to enhance their undergraduate alumni giving rates--EKU, UK, U of L, NKU, MSU and WKU. Each school will monitor their level of participation among alumni who have graduated within the last ten years, and monthly updates will appear on this web site. By supporting your university, you can help win the Challenge!

Why focus the Kentucky Challenge on participation?

Annual fund staff members at each of the schools involved in the Kentucky Challenge acknowledge that there are many demands on recent graduates. Many recent graduates are starting new jobs, buying houses, new vehicles, repaying student loans, etc. Therefore, the Challenge is more concerned with participation rather than the amount of the gifts.

Who is involved in the Kentucky Challenge?

The Challenge for the 2005-2006 fiscal year involves alumni from the classes of 1996 to May 2005 from each of Kentucky's state universities listed above. If you graduated within the last ten years, you can help your alma mater win the Challenge by making a gift during this fiscal year, which ends June 30, 2006. Gifts of any amount are important, so click on your school's logo today and help them become #1!

How can I join the Challenge?

To join the Challenge and help your alma mater become #1 in alumni giving, click on your school's logo and make a gift. You may give online. Your school's phonathon and direct mail campaigns also count.
